Do You Need an Audit?
In Singapore, companies are required to audit their accounts unless they meet the “Small Company” exemption criteria.
Mandatory Audit
Your company MUST be audited if it falls out of the “Small Company” definition. This happens if you meet 2 out of the 3 following criteria in the past 2 financial years:
- Revenue: More than S$10 million
- Total Assets: More than S$10 million
- Employees: More than 50 employees
Voluntary Audit
Even if you are exempt, many SMEs choose to undergo a Voluntary Audit. Common reasons include:
