• Letter of Credit (LC) : A promise by the bank to pay the supplier. The bank issued LC as a way to ensure seller get paid as long as the seller did what they have agreed to do. LC is commonly used in international trade as well as domestic trade. The bank acts as an uninterested party between buyer and seller and guarantees that payment will be made once certain conditions are met.
• Trust receipt : A short-term loan import loan to provide buyer with financing to settle the goods under (LC) whereby the bank hold possession of the goods. The bank can offer up to 150 days term before the buyer make payment to the bank at the value of (LC) issued.
• Inward Bill Collection (DA/DP) : An arrangement by the bank to release the important documents to the buyer upon acceptant / paid of the bills to speed up the trade process.
• Banker’s Guarantee : The bank undertake to settle the debt, ensuring the liabilities of the debtor will be met.
• Shipping Guarantee : The bank undertake to bear joint liability with the importer to enable picking up of goods in the event of arrival of cargo prior to the shipping documents to avoid port demurrage.
Project Financing • A loan structure that depend upon the projected cash flow of the project rather than just financial statements. Funds is used for project expenditure. Usually considered as a secured facility using the project proceed as collateral.
Equipment / Machinery Financing (HP Loan) • The financial institution will finance up to 90% of the machine value and pay the seller directly while make an arrangement with the buyer to repay on monthly installment of a set tenor. The bank will retain the ownership of the equipment/ machinery until the final installment have been repaid.
Account Receivables | Factoring | Invoice Discounting• Short term financing to improve company’s cash flow. It allows the applicant to draw money against its sales invoice of up to 80% before their debtors pay them. Usually giving a repayment term of 30/60/90/120days from the date of invoice. No restriction on funds usage.
